It's about time for an update

I have a lot to do today but why not update the blog instead? that's always better than studying or do my homework...right? RIGHT!! Last month, we went on a 7 day cruise to MEXICO. The first day Sunday, we got on board about 3 ish and then had a mandatory safety drill, and dinner- the day was pretty much over, we were exhausted from flying to California and everything, I think we just went back to our room. Monday however, Lyndsey and I had homework to do and we thought Monday was the day to do it all since we were at see all day. After I got my homework done, I was worry free, It was so nice knowing that I just had the rest of the week to relax and have fun. Mexico is beautiful. The ports we stopped at were Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, & Puerto Vallarta. Cabo was the first stop, after starting the cruise on Sunday, getting off the ship on Tuesday morning was top priority for us, we wanted to get off and explore. We had to take tenders to the port at Cabo, they just dropped the anchor in the middle of the ocean, then the little tenders just dropped us off at the port. Our first goal was to find a store with a fax machine, we had some information that needed to get back to Boise. So we find one, interesting because it was ran by a Japanese and the computers that were in there, they were in Japanese too..Funny. So next we off to find a place to eat, done! Next off to find something to do, after walking around forever, we went on a glass bottom boat tour. We saw the coral underneath and it was pretty amazing, and all the fish. Then he took us to see some seals, cool but stinky...and then all crabs crawling around them. The favorite of Cabo was the beach, they had the best beach sand my feet have ever been in, (compared to California Beaches) CABO was beautiful but too much a touristy site for me. Next Stop, MAZATLAN- what a crazy city that place is. We took a taxi to go to the downtown area, I still don't know how we didn't see many car accidents, because they drive so crazy there, I was holding on for dear life, (if any one who knows me I probably hold on to dear life anyways when driving with someone in busy areas, I freak out) any who, we walked around then and then went to the beach, I hung out around the cabana, while Manuel, Marc and Lyndsey went boogie boarding. Mazatlan is a big place with lots of people. Peurto Vallarta was my absolute favorite, and I think both of us cant wait to go back there. It was a day of glory. We rented what I like to call a "Unimog" but I think in reality it's a golf cart supped up with four wheeler wheel. IT was a blast. Lynds and I had the 2 back seats, and the boys took turns driving. IT was a blast, we almost got ran off the road a few times but it was well worth it. We took that thing to Wal-mart, that was the first stop we made in Puerto Vallarta, it was something we were accustomed to, well we thought, we had to turn our bags in for security, Wal-mart in Boise was nothing like it. It was great fun though, they have stuff our Wal-marts would never carry. So anyway, we really wanted to find a beach, so we found one, although it was a deserted beach, with lots of rocks, we just saw a beach sign and away we went, it was fun, it was almost like four wheeling but unimogging (hahah) So we actually drove farther down and went to a pretty awesome place, it was beach and a little town. They had sand sculptures on the beach, the detail those people spend on the sculptures is amazing and all for tips, it's not a job for them. Definitely talented though. We were trying to find this water park area, but no luck just finding ourselves to enter a highway, which Manuel says is not like our usual highway/freeways where if you find your going the wrong direction or you have passed an exit, we can just wait until the next emergency turn around and go back, NO Mexico's are like long lasting, not equal or flat across the line, there is no spots to turn around in for a long time, and plus they go crazy fast and little UNI couldn't go but only 10 mph or so. Hahah we got in the bus line a few times and the buses were like right there, I swear Lynds and I could touch the front of the bus if we really wanted. and they thought they were funny when they would get that close, Not so much to us though. We saw some pretty amazing hotels in this place, and cheap too, I know this one hotel, had like 3 bedroom hotel houses for like $45 a night. that's cheap.

So since this was the last stop on it was Thursday, that meant that we had Friday and Saturday at Sea. We just planned to lounge around and play games. Lynds and I went dancing, went to a towel folding seminar. they had great shows on the ship, I personally like the dancers, and the mix with dance and singing. Those were my favorites. Adult Comedy/Magic Shows/Comedy shows(for all ages) were available. We did however have Karaoke Night, Lyndsey and I sang a duet, "Your the one that I want" from Grease, I now have never sang Karaoke before and was scared, The host of the karaoke told us that the Sandra's part would be one color and Danny's singing part would be one color.....we start singing and well both parts were the same color. Yes I know the song, I sing the song, but not in front of people and well it was horrendous but hilarious. We had a good time with it that's for sure. The host of the show however had to comment on girls from Idaho don't know how to differentiate on the guy or girl part...RUDE. We had fun however.

The cruise was lots of fun, and lots of food. and not gross food, GOOD FOOD. It was definitely a change when we got back from eating wonderful meals 7 days and then actually having to decided on what to cook for dinner. We had great company with us and fun times and memories that will last forever, any one up for Puerto Vallarta, b/c I am ready anytime to go back :)

These aren't all the pictures, we have lots, but it just occurred to me, we didn't take any pictures of our boat. we have a video of our room but that's it. oh and the dining room as well.
