Miss America 2008

I haven't watched the Miss America Pagenant in a really long time, I mean a long time. It seems it has become a very in-formatl pagaenat. I mean just the host was the guy off E-Tonight, not that he was bad, but I was expecting to see the guy who does the A.M show with Kelly Rippa, I am having brain spasms tonight, homework has started and I am thinking way to much for way too long :) Anyway, and to top it off it was on the TLC channel, last time I watched it, it aired on ABC or NBC. It was just a weird program they put on there, it was Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, too bad Mom and Dad werent there an extra day. I remember when I was younger I always looked forward to watching it and this week I was looking forward to it when I first heard it was going to be on, I dont think that is the case now, I feel like I wasted 2 hours watching it, I guess I realized it was a bor when it was like 45 minutes into the air. hmm...just my thought, Miss America is very pretty and has a beautiful voice.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANUEL

So today, my dearest Husband, Manuel, turned 25. Yes indeed it's true, all of his friends at work today were trying to guess his age, it made him feel good, they were guessing 22, 23, I was laughing, I know I will one day be there, but come on my husband, is 1/4 of a century old. I really wanted to get a Wii for him for his b-day but FYI for all those Wii wanters out there, be wanting for a while, impossible to find, unless you pay 450, sorry. So I think we will keep a look out, but I bought him a shirt, Season 1 of Simpson's, it's on now to collect the whole set. They were on sale tonight at Shopko for $20, so I started him off, I got him some sweet treats, plus on Wednesday night, I made him a Chocolate cake (DELICIOUS) and I sang to him all by self, and well accidentally blew out the #5 candle, (I had a 2 and 5) but no worries I lit that thing back up for him and blew em'out and made a wish. He also got a Paintball Mask that he has been wanting for a long time. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART, hope it was great, except the work part. I took him dinner tonight, Mongolian BBQ, mmm, except they were like eying me the whole time I was making it, (maybe b/c I got there like 10 minutes before they closed) so it wasn't as "saucy" as usual but it was still edible. Well here is picture of us together earlier this evening when I took him dinner, he doesn't like taking pictures and I love it, so I make him take them with me, how silly it would have been to post a picture of my self on his birthday post.
On the side note, Life is great here, school started this week. I am taking 18 credits, the most ever, holy cow, Manuel is taking a class at Micron, and working hard. I also started my Internship, I work 8 weeks at Horizon Health (Dr's I nanny for) and then sometime in March I believe I will be at St. Al's Behavioral Health Center. It's fun so far, I did some insurance claims yesterday and some coding, it's cool in actual office settings, other than school, they make it so boring and so detail, that I wasn't expecting it to be as it was yesterday, FUN! When I leave for our cruise, I will be missing 2 tests that week, one professor is being cool and letting me take it when I return, and on the other one, well, she is being a bit strict, ridiculous if you ask me, but hopefully she pulls through, otherwise I will have to talk to the head of the department, I think since I talked to her on the first day, she would be understanding, but not so far. Well that's life from the Vega's so far, The grass is covered white and our house is still blue. Have a good night!

just when I thought I had said enough

Okay so I guess the last post I didnt say enough (imagine that) okay so this last thursday, Manuel had to fly to Salt Lake to get his passport, it's pretty crazy, he flew there and got his passport the very same day, I had to wait 6 weeks, Crazy. Anyway it was a pretty exhausting day for him but fun at the same time, after he went to the Mexican Consolate (Passport place) he met up with his friend Tyrell Weedop, they spent the day together at Ty's work and just had a good ol time. Then TY took Manuel to the airport (Thanks Ty) So we now both have our passports, we are ready to head on the ship. In 3 weeks, I cant believe and now am expierencing a tid bit of what most would call anxiety. I freak out when I think I am going to be sleeping on a ship that is going in the water, hmm..thats all I will say. I am excited to see Mexico but cant wait until I get to experience where Manuel grew up, that will be in a long time, I would really like to go this year, but dont know if his family is going. we are going to Mazatlan, Cabo, and Puerto Vallarta (SP?) 7 day cruise. Nice, missing school, work, and enjoying a week with my husband. Happy Valentines :) Okay and on another note, Today my cousin Raylynne and I spent the afternoon, eating lunch and watching The Bucket List, such a good movie, although one I didnt cry in, amazing b/c It was a good movie with a sad happy ending, maybe I cried too much at PS I love you. After the movie today, we went to this little cafe that had Gelato, it was so good, even though we went in there looking for some hot chocolate, even though they had it, we opted for the Gelato, great choice. Soon it will be Manuel's Birthday, he will be 25. A quarter of a century YOUNG (LOVE YA BABE). Crazy to think. I dont know what to get him though, it's a tough buy for a boy who endulges in Paintball, and I think he owns everything possible. On second thought probably not but somedays its seems like that when all his stuff over crowds the living room. Allright, enough for now.

What a great weekend

It's been a while since I have posted. So Life is going like crazy. Seems like school just ended yet its starting on again on Tuesday! It's my last semester before I have my degree then I will go back and get another degree in Management I guess is what I have decided to do. I have a huge test to take this summer hopefully it goes well, just a semester of studying of 1 1/2 years of knowledge, to get some credentials behind my name. What ever it takes these days! So to end the break I went to visit my friend in Pocatello. It has been like 2 1/2 years since I last visited her at her place so I decided what a better time, right before school starts. I went home last friday and got my hair done, Amy weaved some dark blonde into, I really like the different look and have gotten many compliments. Then I headed to Pocatello, it was great to see and get to visit with Crystal and Kody. Friday night was just spent catching up and laughing, it was fun, Saturday started off with running late for a pedicure at the mall, a light snack, some shopping, then home to make Crab Salad, and Chocolate Chip cookies (Which by the way were pretty healthy, they are from a company call Lehi Roller Mills, pretty good, but by no means are these people in it for there customers apparently, we had to call them b/c the recipe calls for 2 1/2 cups of their cookie mix, well we wanted to make the whole thing, but came up like a 1/2 cup short of the mix, so we call to see if what was going on, well all they said was that there ""should have been 5 cups of mix." Not a single oh well I am sorry for the inconvience, let us send you a complimentary mix, nothing. the cookies turned out great though.)(the picture is over Crystal eating the delicious cookie, she was such a stinker with any pictures I wanted to take of us) anyway back to the visit. Saturday we decided to go to Lava Hot Springs, problem though, I didnt have a swimming suit. So I went thru Crystal's stash found a top and some shorts, well we get to Lava, amazing might I just add, I love the place, we go to the dressing room, to find Crystal's swimming top and her shorts, my tank top, a pair of shorts, but no swimming suit top. Funny story, I ended up just wearing my tank top, and shorts,. iT was a great time and wish we lived closer so we could hang out more, same goes for my sister, I wish she lived closer, I had a dream the other night we lived an hour away from each other and it was so much fun, lots easier to visit each other. Sunday I drove back to Burley for a while to visit everyone, then I headed back to Boise. It was a great weekend with Manuel, I didnt work on Monday or Tuesday so we got to spend every moment together, doesnt happene very often. I loved it so much, we hung out at home and went to a couple movies, The Golden Compass, which was really good, I didnt think I would like it but it turned out pretty good. Monday night we went bowling, pitty party for me, I bowled 1/2 a game before my back gave up on me, GO FIGURE, what's new, but I still bolwed for antoher game until someone else showed up to make the teams even, it just sucks, A new back would be great. Tuesday we went to PS I Love you, what a great movie, it makes you realize you never know when it could be your loved ones or your own last day. What a great movie, I noticed that alot of good movies come out at the same time then a lot of crappy movies come out at the same time, needless to say, there are lots of movies I want to see right now.

Happy 2008!

So Happy New years as well. I thought since I am updating the blog about Christmas why not New Years, since I am home alone. Manuel started working Nights again, so for the next 4 months, I will be alone on the weekends, it kind of stinks, but I'm okay. But the wind is going a 100 miles tonight and there seems to be some sounds outside I dont always associate with the wind but I keep telling my self they are so with that being said. Happy New Year. Our friends came up to ring in the the new year with us, Jasper, Gretchen, Marc and Lyndsey,it was fun and tiring all at the same time. Sad to see the holidays end but we are glad to be welcoming in the new year. WE all went downtown to dinner then we went dancing. It was fun. WE went to a club here in Boise and we rode the mechanical bull, it was an adventure that's for sure and can't see myself making a career out of it. We were actually signed up for couples bull riding the best couple that rode would win $500, after we did our practice, well let's just say.it was fun but we ended up leaving.

With all this in mind,
Reasons we like to look back to the year 2007

1. We became the Vega's on June 30, 2007
2. We celebrated our new life together for a week in Vegas
3. we moved in to a blue house, will never forget driving by with Mom and Kelly :(
4. We found out we are going to an aunt and uncle.
5. Manuel got a new job at the beginning of the year.
6. Chelsea was accepted in to her program at BSU.
7. We got a new car!

Happy 2008! .

Happy Late Holidays

Well, I can't believe the holidays are now officially over. It ended this morning when Chanc and Randy left my house bound for Moscow :( I missed them when they walked out the door. these past couple of weeks have been so exciting with all the family time, holiday festivities and fun! It all started December 22, Mom and myself threw Chanc a baby shower, it was a lot of fun and it turned out great, although I felt so stressed with it being right after finals, I felt that I was very un-prepared until the baby shower ended and it was a success. Chanc got lots of fun stuff and they have a good start for the little guy! Only three months and he will be here. I can't wait. Christmas was great as well. IT was so nice being able to spend the holidays with family. I seriously dont know how I could ever not have family around for the holidays, I hope I will alwasy have family around, they bring love, joy and happiness to the great days! We drove up to Rock Creek to see the christmas lights, it was cold, but we managed to walk through and they even had a camel this year. I haven't been there in a really long time, it was fun. The entire family went and then we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's for Chilli and Cinnamon Rolls, mmm...yummy. Manuel and I got spoiled for christmas. He got a pair of Pumas, dye-lock lids for paintball, a wonderful back massager with heat :), clothes, cologne, Santa left Pirates of the Carriabean 2 for Manuel, but I realized it when it was too late, Christmas morning. But no worries, he got it exchanged. Silly Santa. He also got some Spy Sundglasses, that look pretty sweet on him! This seems to be the only picture of him taken while we were opening gifts sorry babe! I was given gift cards, pizza stone :) Bread Maker :) Shoes and money for business clothes! it was a wonderful christmas. We spent time with both families and it was wonderful, I took time off of work so we had extra time in burley which was good! We hope everyone had a great holiday season! The night ended by playing our 2nd Annual Bingo games, it was great fun, lots of funny gifts and well it's Bingo! here is picture of the family, referred as the ATV's (Asher's Todd's and Vega's) from now on guys :)
