Here's how to play:
1. Link your tagger and list rules on your blog
2. Share 7 random/weird facts about yourself
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post leaving names and links to their blogs
4. Let them know they have been tagged by commenting on their blog

1.I don't like eating chicken off the bone...So you wont be seeing me at any KFC porkin down on some of the colonel sweet county fried chicken...SiCk.

2. I love Dr. Pepper and a licorice rope...Sad to say that I don't drink the DP as much anymore, but I am so proud of myself, I use to have one every day now it's like maybe once or twice a week...WHOA!

3. I don't like using port-a-potties or rest areas. I am deathly terrified. 1 not so funny story and 2 funny stories
* Reason why? well when my family was at the Stadium of Fire in Provo, UT..some teenagers,(I assume who were drunk b/c honestly, this is really cruel) decided they would tip me over in the port-a-potty. Sick, I remember like it was yesterday, I was wearing a blue striped sweater from Sears and some Old Navy overalls...why I remember things like this is beyond me, maybe because it was the outfit that I was in when I scarred for life.

*When we were in Pocatello for on my sister Chanc's softball game, we were at the field, with bathrooms similar to rest area's...so I wandered off and went to some strangers house and asked if I could use her restroom :) I am so lucky to be alive...I was probably 12 or 13, so really I "knew"better but I couldn't sit on the shiny silver toilet....I get chills every time i think of the things.

* Recently* we were in Boise playing ultimate Frisbee and I really needed to use the restroom, so Manuel took me over to the "square of toilets" you know the shacks, and he went into the men's, I go into the women's, I get in to one stall and see the shiny silver toilet, I ran out crying. Manuel comes out and was like that was quick, and realized I was a little teary eyed and we laughed, I have quite some fear...
^^apparently I only like white ceramic toilets, that's all :)^^

4. I love to sit by the heater when it's on, cover myself in a blanket and lay down- I like to capture the heat so I stay warm!! ( who doesn't?)

5. I am no animal lover. I think animals are disgusting...some say I will change when I have little ones, but I tell you I won't, I think its really gross when people pet them, especially the really shedding type kind of dogs, because you get the hair on your hands, let alone, dog skin doesn't spell pretty, no matter how many time you bathe the things. I also think its gross when people are dog sleepers, letting the dog in the bed with them....gag me
^^ Not to mention I am pretty much scared of any animal (especially cats, they really freak me out, they are weird creatures). I am okay with my boss dog Otto but I hate it when he touches my pant leg with his face and I hate the feel of his fur when I am getting ready to walk him ,I have to put his shock collar on...the feeling is DiSgUsTiNg!!!

6.At night when I am alone, and I am going upstairs to bed, I always have the hall light on going up the stairs, even though there is light, I always run up the stairs as if someone were chasing me...then I leave all the lights on upstairs (that being the ones that are already on...hall light, bedroom light, bath light and closet light,....seesh that's a lot of lights) I leave them all on until I am ready to jump in bed...I HATE THE DARK...I also sleep with the TV on at night so I feel that the "company" (a.k.a. TV) will protect me or if there were to ever be a robber in my house, it might think we are still awake...mUwahahah!

7. Okay...I am a white girl with some issue...I can't say TORTILLA with out rolling the "r" and making the "ll" silent... so I pronounce like this "Tortiyya" I don't even know if you could even understand how i say it...ok ok... I say it like my husband...I may not know a whole lot of Spanish, but I sure say "Tortilla" like a Mexican :) *Disclaimer...not to be taken offensively, I am married to Manuel remember, I am sure I say a few things with the Spanish accent now, Tortilla is just one that has been the subject of laughter lately

Okay I tag...

YoU hAvE gOt To Be KiDdInG--

What will they think of next....seriously this did give me a good laugh tonight, I read it on someone else's blog but it's worth reading. Honestly how could the FDA approve this...good thing I don't really like Ben & Jerry's, but if I did, I definitely don't anymore.

Our Saturday night fun comes from laughing about this article from the Chicago Tribune. Tell me this is a joke...PLEASE let this be a joke. Continue reading after the article...In a highly unusual break from the normally sane and practical modus operandi of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, the animals' rights organization has petitioned the successful and highly visible ice cream maker Ben & Jerry's to replace the cow's milk they use in their ice cream products with human breast milk.PETA's request comes in the wake of news reports that a Swiss restaurant owner will begin purchasing breast milk from nursing mothers and substituting breast milk for 75 percent of the cow's milk in the food he serves. PETA officials say a move to human breast milk would lessen the suffering of dairy cows and their babies on factory farms and benefit human health."The fact that human adults consume huge quantities of dairy products made from milk that was meant for a baby cow just doesn't make sense," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "Everyone knows that 'the breast is best,' so Ben & Jerry's could do consumers and cows a big favor by making the switch to breast milk."It's hard to argue that 'the breast is best,' so I polled the office for some ideas for flavors that Ben & Jerry's might make with human breast milk. How would you like to wrap your lips around a scoop of: 'Titty Tiramisu' or maybe, 'Mammary Macadamia Nut.' If that doesn't titillate you, you might want to try, 'Fudgie Juggs', 'Nippley Neapolitan', or 'Racky Road?'

While I was laughing about the ice cream names, I can't imagine digging a big ol' spoon of sweet "breast milked" Ice-Cream...not exactly something I find to be of interest.......Nasty
It's is crazy to believe that some nursing mothers will sell their breast milk, you know making it their job, to other mothers of babies. I understand that giving the children the best nourishment, but not from another women...GrOsS

Furnace issues

So this week we figured out our furnace wasn't working to its potential :( the coldest time I swear too. So Manuel and Frank figured it must be the ignitor b/c the heater would turn on but no heat, it just blew air..and not hot air, which was an issue with me. So Wednesday Manuel fixed the ignitor problem (we bought a new one :)) Tonight we purchased and installed a new thermostat...it's pretty sweet. It's a flushed mount thermostat, so it doesn't stick out, it even with the wall. So while Manuel went to chat with some old buddies from work on their lunch break, I sat at home trying to figure the thing out, it's digital, it's programmable, there fore its a piece of confusing work for me. I set it, but I know my husband will reset it because it will be too hot for him.(while he was gone, I turned it up to 76 and was enjoying my nice warm house, until he called, I turned it down, then right before he got home it shut off because it's met it's "targeted temp", which was 72 or 70, can't really remember...but it was nice and warm while it lasted.
* When I moved into my 2nd apartment here in Boise, we didn't have to pay utilities and my room had it's very own thermostat , meaning I could make it how ever hot or cold I would like, without affecting Nancy or Claudia's room, oh I was in heaven, not having to pay for it was even more of a great thing, I had the room set at 80 most of the time and it was heaven, if only I could just have free utilities now, well at least Free HEAT*

Anyway, after about an hour of trying to figure out how the programmable features work , I gave up, it's too confusing, all I need to know is how to turn the temp up and how to shut it off...that's all :)

B-I-N-G-O and that's what we did tonight!

So for family night tonight, we went to Pizza Hut for some good grub and some funny laughs then we helped ourselves to a night of B-I-N-G-O FUN! We went to this place where they play Bingo and it was alright! (although next time I go, I think i Will take a hair net, a bunny suit (micron suits haha, and a face mask) I dislike with a strong passion the smell of smoke, let alone the smell of smoke on me, it's something I really dislike (Mom, you should be proud, I didn't say your most "hated" word...hahah) with that said...So this place is kind of awkward, exactly how I pictured it, Bingo, a geriatric unit smokin there lives away. You purchase your Bingo cards and your ink to dot the numbers called. Take a seat, and get rollin. Now our issue tonight was that we showed up in the middle of game 11, tried catching up and in reality, we would have increased our chances of winning, if we would have gone when they first opened up (note to self: show up at 6:30, so you can play all 13 or 14 games) So we even had to pay full price, $13, and we only have like 4 games to play oh well! It was a great night of doing something out of the ordinary and even though I was gung-ho on winning(who invented "gung-ho" anyway, its a little piece of random vocabulary I use now and then when I am feeling a little discombobulated) I lost every game, my brother-in-law Frank, on the other hand, won $40 (Who is very excited to be returning next week, hahah)! I would classify us in the "adventurous" category, we were in deed, the youngest in the group tonight and I was just hoping (a little too much) to win so I could bring home the dough (one of the games was worth $1000 if you called bingo/blackout before the caller called out 51 different numbers), that's a lot of dough for only spending $13 per game session!!!

Apparently Traffic Violations take a back seat in my life!

So I am just letting you all know that if you don't' hear from me, it may be due to the fact that I will be hand-cuffed when I turn my "traffic violation payment" in...Why? oh well because it will only be 3 days late. Whether I mail it or "hand" deliver it, still 3 days late. How could I have forgotten about this, I mean it starred me down every time I went near the fridge. So today, just had to be the day I realized that it was due on the 10th, not the 15th. I know it's my responsibility to know when my ticket is due, but since Sept. 19, (they day I received the dang thing) I kept thinking the 15th. Why the 15th, I have no reason, except for the fact that the officer would kindly gave me the ticket, said "now ma'am you have from Oct 3-Oct 15, to make this payment or appear before the judge" okay, now I am a person who doesn't forget easily, the 15th it is :). until today, when I just happened to think, oh I should take it off the fridge right now and write the check and put in the mailbox so it may arrive early :) (always like to be on time with things, apparently traffic violations take a back seat in my life) So when I was looking for the address, right there, it says Oct 3- Oct 10th...WHHHHHAT??? It's Oct 10, at 6:35 p.m, what am I going to do...I freaked out, put my Jacket, as if I were going to take my ticket right then...(really we were headed out for a night of pizza and bingo) and I just stood there shaking my head, freaking out as if I were going to be put in jail...I don't know what happens when you don't pay your ticket on time, and if there is a little grace period, but hopefully nothing will come of this, and if it does, well this will be in-deed, my first/last time of paying something late and lets hope it will be my last ticket I receive. anyway, well the ticket and my payment are ready to be mailed. Hopefully I will be seeing my check go thru the bank next week, before you see my mug shot on this website (by the way, I have always wondered how you add links to words, but I just figured it out and I am super excited)

p.s. I won't be "handing"my payment in , I am mailing it. my brother in law tongight told me thats what will happen to me...or maybe it was my sister in law, anywho, that's why I am mailing it, they will have to catch me first.. {Insert Evil Laugh here}

Why is it called "canning" when you are actually "jarring"?

Last weekend, my mother-in-law sent up a bunch of "goodies" There were Tamales, Molé, Tortillas, a sack full of tomatoes, and peppers from her garden, and some tomatillos. I didn't exactly know what to do with the tomatoes since I am the only one that really likes to eat them anyway, they were going bad faster than I could eat them. So I got an itch to make salsa...not just make the dang salsa, but to also can the salsa. There are firsts for everything and this my friends, was my first time ever canning. It was a real-tiring process trying to find the dang mason jars, Walmart, I managed to get to 3 different ones and to all my luck they were sold out. When we were in Caldwell on Saturday, I stopped at Albertsons and to my surprise they LOTS of them. I purchased 2/12 packs thinking I would be making a lot. So this morning when I woke up, I started first thing. Boiled the tomatoes, drained them, boiled the tomatillos, cut the onion and chopped the cilantro, and viola! I was ready to blend the heck out of all this fresh produce. After attempting the first batch, Manuel woke up, (thank heavens, b/c he is a salt lover and I am not, and I need to add salt to the mixture, my little shake just wasn't enough) any way he sampled almost all of the batches. after getting all the jars filled, (to my surprise, with everything I had, it only filled 7 jars, I was shocked from the looks of all the stuff we had, I thought we would have more) I put them in the pot to seal the deal. I let them boil in the water for a long time just because I wasn't keeping track of time and so every time I would check on them I would "plan" to give them just 20 more minutes, but then I never managed to look at the clock at this point in time. So I am pretty sure they were in the pot for well over an hour or so. (obviously, I don't exactly follow rules. It said not to disturbed the jars with in 12-24 hours of canning...but I had to get a picture and they had cooled by now, I don't (hopefully not) think I hurt anything)
Oh well, I don't think it hurt any thing. When you can, the lids are not suppose to pop back up when you push in the center of them. when I pulled the jars out only 2 popped back at me. But throughout the day, they have sealed and not a single one of the seven pop back and I think my results are pretty good for being a first timer. Now, I haven't tried the salsa since they have been sealed, it says to wait 12-24 hours before messing with them, possibly tomorrow I will have some. Hopefully it tastes good... I am pretty proud of my-self. Now if I could can peaches. I am sure I could but with what I hear, it gets pretty messy and I just don't know if I am ready to conquer that on my own, doing the salsa was messy enough :)

One last note: Sorry if this blog seems to over use the (,) comma, I just finished an assignment for my Business Communication class that was dealing with commas, so now that I have been doing that for the last 45 minutes, I think the comma usage is instilled in my head for the time being :)

One more item of business, I love that I can still spell correctly at 2 AM...Spell Checker is just trying to correctly spell words its not recognizing. SWEET

Chelsea and the Horrible day turned good by a nice note, Blow Pops and a Dr. Pepper

I am sure there have been worse days than this one, but as of right now, it's was awful. Work started at 7 in the AM...so just to give you an idea of what time I woke up (5:45 AM) anyway.. Work with the kids was fine, minus the incident with not wanting to go to school, yelling, fighting, being late to school..what a morning. So I took Margaret and family to the airport, on my way back I was definitely not all with it and I came over the bridge by BSU and apparently I was going 45. Couldn't tell, Acura's drive so smooth...not so much, I should have been paying better attention. So as soon as I come down, I hear it...a siren...lights in the mirror and him motioning for me to turn down the street instead of pulling over. Great. He was very polite...a little to polite in speaking but a hard core officer. I couldn't find my license but I could tell him the number, (Am I the only one who has the drivers license # memorized, b/c when I said that, he was like, "hmm...really?") He was probably thinking "this girl must be a trouble-maker" haha. not really. So as he is writing my information down (such as eye color, hair color, weight,) I find the license. As soon as I hand it too him , he looks at me and says "well, here it says you are 5'3", you said you were 5''4". I respond, "I said that?, I don't remember you asking my height". "oh, your right, I was thinking of asking that question" You know, I wonder how much police officers can get away with saying they asked and accusing the "violator" of lying, resulting in a bigger fine. arrgg. Thanks to my great Listening skills and a little defensive attitude I have, I set the man right :). Anyway, well because I was going 45 in a 30 zone, I was fined $75....if I had been 1 mile over (46), my fine would have been $140...holy crap. He warned I was near the boiling point. I really never speed, I am usually a good driver, very attentive, but my mind definitely wasn't with me at the moment. So this resulted in some tears because I couldn't believe I let my self do that, and I was a bit "teary-eyed" at the drive thru at the bank. No, not at a pull-up to the window and see the teller face-to-face, one with a TV, a camera and speaker. I thought I was playing it cool when she first came on, I just said hello, fine thanks", not really making eye contact... So when she returned my receipt, she came back on and said "Chelsea, I am sending your receipt along with a little treat, I hope you have a better day." Oh I was a bit more teary, just b/c I think I was more embarrassed than anything, but she was a big sweetheart. There are those in life who just make ya so mad, because of their rudeness, but then there are the sweet ones, which you don't find a lot of anymore, a lot of bitter people out there, but when you find one, they sure are sweet. She also wrote a little note on the receipt and I think I will post it on the fridge for a while. Because really, I knew life would be okay after I received this.

FLASHBACK: So when I was coming to Boise a few years back with Stephanie and Hilary, I was speeding 90 in a 75 so Steph could get to a restroom, I see lights, (out of no-where again, cops sure are sneaky, usually I am cop detector.) anyway, that ticket, oh my lands was like $175,( I was seriously in the boiling then) and here I am pouting about a $75 one, well let me explain, that was like 5 years ago, meaning I think my record is, well was clean, now I have this on me :(

I think what brought a bigger smile to my face was that I was special enough to get BLOW POPS, not just a dum-dum or a Safe-T-pop, I got 3 BLOW POPS (Apple, Watermelon, Strawberry), not a bad selection if I do say so my self. So if you my friend are a teller at US BANK, that wrote a sweet note to "Cheer-up" a customer, I sure do appreciate it. Keep it up, because that technique definitely works on a girl like me. Anyway, then my dear husband took me for Dr. Pepper..it sure was delicious with that hamburger I had as well (bad I know)
